In the second semester of my third year, I interned at House of Denim Foundation in Amsterdam. The internship period was from February 3rd to June 29th.

House of Denim Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and connect denim stakeholders through platforms, projects, and events, with the goal of making denim dry, clean, and smart.

During my internship, I was involved in both production processes and setting up and executing projects. My main assignment was to design and make a pair of jeans. Through this, I learned a lot of technical skills, such as technical sketching, pattern drafting, and sewing.

My jeans were presented at the “stretch yourself” exposition at Kingpins 2025.

After my internship was finished I got invited to be a part of the talent incubator program at House of Denim. The incubator program is a Diversity & Inclusion talent development program for young people aged 16/17+ with a passion for denim and possibly already a fashion background who do not fit into the system, fall through the system or in addition to school or want to develop additional skills at work.
